The mission of the heritage society is to tell the diverse history of Houston and Texas through collections, exhibits, the arts, educational programs, film, video, and other content. The Society has preserved and restored ten historic buildings and relocated them in Sam Houston Park along with a museum gallery. These are located in downtown Houston.
