Buffalo Bayou Park Cistern

Cisterna del parque Búfalo Bayou

Buffalo Bayou Park Cistern

1019 Commerce St., Suite 200

Houston, TX 77002

A former drinking water reservoir, in 2010, the city of Houston was sourcing vendors to demolish the cistern when Buffalo Bayou Park Project discovered the site. BBP restored and repurposed the Cistern into a space to house an ambitious program of changing art installations. Buffalo Bayou Park launched its Cistern art program in 2016.
