Gelson D. Lemus (w3r3on3) is a Guatemalan-born resident of Houston, TX who began creating artwork at a young age. His art journey really took off in the late 90's when he was introduced to graffiti culture which has shaped his path from a graffiti artist to what he has now become, a self-taught muralista. Per Gelson, the mini murals are projects contracted by different companies or organizations across Houston. After an organization is interested in the art style and work of artists, it may contact artists to propose new ideas for the mini murals. As Gelson added, the group hires the artists and tells them what they specifically want on the mini mural. Everything is monitored by the group that hires the artist for the project.

Sergio Cornejo born and raised in Houston with Chilean parents, is a Chilean/American artist in Houston. "Five Corners," is part of Mini Mural campaign of The Traffic Signal Control Cabinet Art Program (TSCC), an initiative to bring public art to more neighborhoods in the City of Houston. Similar to programs in other cities mini murals are used as cost effective strategies to curb graffiti and deliver art to neighborhoods. UP Art Studio worked with the City on a pilot project. Presently, sponsors pay for TSCC artworks. Sponsors have included Houston City Council Member offices, management districts, nonprofit organizations, businesses and grant making organizations. All Mini Murals in the City of Houston are part of the TSCC program, but not all TSCC art projects are Mini Murals.

DUAL stands for the conflict between “street art” and “fine” art, between freeway burners and gallery exhibitions, between mass recognition and total anonymity. Dual has been recognized not only for his work with silkscreen and spray paint, but also for his work with lithography and acrylics. His bold lines and fresh colors are a break from the everyday monotony of life in the city—a taste of urban subculture. His art includes everything from large-scale murals to micro-painting projects such as model trains and custom watch dials, to the forgotten art of sign painting.

Known by the local art scene for her humanoid creatures, Ana paints and draws animals with exaggerated anthropomorphic features, creating sympathy for her iconoclastic subjects in a society of stereotypes with sensibility and dark humor.

Jessica Guerra is a Houston-based artist and designer who works in a variety of media including watercolor, gouache and printmaking. Her art is free flowing yet includes repetitive designs reflecting influences from both architecture and nature. Inspired by vintage florals and velvety paper waiting for color or an inky impression, she is driven every day by her love of creating and expressing beauty.

Mini Murals are part of The Traffic Signal Control Cabinet Art Program (TSCC), an initiative to bring public art to more neighborhoods in the City of Houston. Webster @ Bagby

Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Lee Washington is an airbrush and aerosol artist who is most active in the Houston area. He is best known for painting realistic portraits and 3-d lettering. Lee first noticed he could draw in the 2nd grade, in the late 70’s he got into breakdancing, Graffiti and BMX Freestyle. It was 1982 when he picked up his first spray paint can to see if he could put a sketch from his black book onto a large wall. After a few years of practicing and improving his talent at graffiti he decided to move his artwork onto t-shirts. In 1988 Lee painted his last graffiti wall. Then in 1993 he attended the Art Institute of Houston to learn the business side of art. Now, after 20 years hiatus Lee has returned to airbrushing and spray painting.
