Doña María’s is a Mexican restaurant in Houston’s East End. In 2005, locals Anna and Juan Hernandez took over the business, keeping some of the original recipes and adding those of Anna’s family. This small “mom-and-pop” restaurant flourished due to their home style cooking and has become a space in which many “politicos” congregate.
