An aspiring musician, Felix Morales, inspired the Morales Radio Hall, the first Spanish Language Radio Station (La Voz Latina) in the Gulf Coast. With news from home countries, featured Mexican music, and programming that included “Yo Necesito Trabajo,” when employers called the radio station with job offers for community members, the Morales Radio Hall served as a resource for Houston’s Spanish speaking Latino community.
