Celestial Cat @ Fannin St.

Celestial Cat @ Fannin St.

Gibran Isaias Lopez (Isaias Crow) created this mural in 2015. Through colorful work and the incorporation of geometry, his artwork often reflects his travels and include themes such as energy, psychology, and time. Lopez describes himself as an outlet for his spirit guide, Crow. By combining his birth name, “Isaias” and his spirit guide’s moniker “Crow,” it represents their working relationship—where he is “Seeing Through the Eyes of the Universe” when he summons his spirit guide. Celestial Cat depicts an ocelot, a wild cat known from Texas to South America, which Lopez describes as a “guide,” where “making a transition from within which now reflects without.”
