Bayou Parque

The Bayou

The Houston Bayous are waterways that flow through the city and are part of the wilderness in the area. As Houston grew many bayous were modified and their biological diversity was nearly eliminated. This has caused the city to reevaluate its flood prevention plans and focus on the preservation of our natural bayou systems.
